Donald Chang Won Kim Award
The The Light of the Orient Donald Chang Won Kim Award is presented on January 13th to an individual or individuals who have excelled in contributing to the life and culture of the Korean community in Hawaii. Through this award, people who have enriched our community through public service are recognized. They serve as model for others in fulfilling the mission of the Korean American Foundation Hawaii.

매년 1월 13일에는 하와이 한인사회의 삶과 문화에 탁월한 공헌을 한 분들을 추천하여 동방의 빛 김창원 상 을 수여하고 있습니다. 이 분들은 희생과 봉사를 통해 우리 하와이 한인 사회를 풍요롭게 만드는데 헌신하여 미주한인재단 하와이의 사명을 수행하는 데 표본이 되어 주신 분들입니다.
